Within a 5.25" optical drive bay, the ToughArmor MB872MP-B supports 12 x M.2 SATA SSDs ranging in size from 30mm to 110mm (2230 / 2242 / 2260 / 2280 / 22110).
Utilizing 3 x high-speed OCuLink (SFF-8612) connectors in the rear, Icy Dock Tougharmor MB872MP-B supports up to twelve M.2 SATA SSD driven by 6Gb/s transfers while minimizing the amount of cable clutter for easy cable management and optimum airflow.
You can easily swap out M.2 drives without tools or screws with this removable drive tray.
In conjunction with the intelligently placed ventilation holes, the 40mm fan features 3-mode fan speed control. To ensure long-term durability, the device and trays are made of heavy-duty metal.

Effortless Tool-Less M.2 Drive Installation
Tool-less drive installation and removal is enabled with the ToughArmor MB872MP-B's patent-pending M.2 adjustable locker.
The M.2 SATA SSD (2230, 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110) is simply inserted, the adjustable M.2 locker is moved until it firmly secures the SSD, and the lid is closed.
You will save time and resources by completing the process in less than 10 seconds.

Every tray has an LED status light that displays the current status.
Active Power Technology turns on the enclosure on insertion of a drive and turns it off when it has been removed.
