The Waffletechnology design utilizes raised areas on the card for maximizing performance of the cleaning card; enabling the cleaning card to reach all recessed areas during the cleaning including the optical sensors, and allowing for a debris free scan of the currency. The Waffletechnology design includes a custom cut to allow the cards spring loaded design to stay expanded while moving through the bill path cleaning critical areas as it enters in and rejects for proper disposal.
