Secured-core servers use Windows Defender System Guard and Virtualization-based Security to reduce firmware vulnerabilities and advanced threats.

Secure connectivity is also included in the latest edition - Microsoft Windows Server 2022 English 1pk 1 Clt User, which includes quicker and more secure encrypted HTTPS connections, industry standard SMB AES 256 encryption, and more.

This release also includes significant improvements to Windows containers, such as smaller image sizes for faster downloads, simplified network policy implementation, and application containerization tools. Windows Server 2022 improves the seamless integration of on-premises file servers to Azure file servers.

Updates to Storage Migration Service

Customers can now transfer file servers from specific network access storage (NAS) and Windows File Servers to Windows Servers on Azure thanks to updates to Storage Migration Service. Customers can retain low latency while decreasing their on-premises storage footprint by using Storage Migration Service to migrate data to servers.
