High-performance, robust and convenient industrial PoE++ splitter

Planet Technology IPOE-173s is an 802.3bt Power over Ethernet splitter that lets a 802.3bt PoE++ type-4 PSE (power source equipment) deliver Ethernet digital data and PoE power to a UTP cable over a twisted pair cable.

The module comes with a DIP switch capable of selecting 12V or 24V DC, allowing it to output 70 watts of power to non-PoE powered Ethernet devices.

Supports passive 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet connections at distances up to 100 meters.

IPOE-173S's working temperature range is from -40 to 75 degrees Celsius, enabling it to serve a wide range of industrial applications.

In industrial environments, the IPOE-173S is ideal for transferring power directly to traditional network devices with high power demands, without having to install additional power outlets and electrical wiring.

Installing 802.3bt PoE++ powered ethernet splitter is quickly and easily

In the case of non-PoE powered devices which demand high power to function, the IPOE-173S. powered by an ultra PoE power source, can be used to supply the PDs with 802.3bt PoE++ since the splitter has the ability to split the data and power streams accordingly.

Power is provided to the PDs through the splitters DC jack, while the RJ45 interface can only handle Ethernet data.

The IPOE-173S can convert the following non-PoE PDs into PoE++ environments:

• Speed dome cameras with PTZ capabilities;
• PoE thin client;
• All-in-One touch PCs;
• Displays for digital signage;
• Devices that require higher power to function properly but aren't PoE;

The POE-173S eliminates the need for additional AC wiring and reduces installation time associated with network device deploying from power outlet locations.

DC Power Output Voltage Selection

By using the front panel 12/24 volt DIP switch, the IPOE-173S can provide either 12V DC or 24V DC electricity to industrial equipment. The IPOE-173S is highly flexible in its applications.

Dual Power Output Capability

Using a 4-pin terminal block, the IPOE-173S can simultaneously deliver 70 watts of power to both one power-hungry device and two non-PoE Ethernet devices. As shown below, the two power outputs can be combined to eliminate the need for electric energy:

• IP camera (Power 1) + Outdoor housing with fan and heater (Power 2);
• IP camera (Power 1) + Pan & tilt motor (Power 2);
• Analog camera (Power 1) + IP video server (Power 2);
