David began his work at Givaudan in the scent laboratories in 1980, where he was enthralled by the raw elements of perfume creation and decided to pursue a career in perfumery.

David Apel, Symrise's VP and Senior Perfumer, is a globally recognized expert in his industry. He's created a slew of well-received scents, many of which have earned honors from the American and European Fragrance Foundations.

Givaudan

He became a Perfumer after an apprenticeship, studies at home and abroad, and leading the Chromatography laboratory. David worked as a fine fragrance perfumer in Paris from 1993 to 1997 before joining Fragrance Resources and moving to the United States to create their Fine Fragrance Creation facility in New York. A passion for creating beautiful, exquisite smells. In 2001, he rejoined Givaudan as Executive Perfumer of Fine Fragrance, and in 2007, he joined the Symrise team, bringing with him a lot of international experience and, of course, a passion for creating beautiful, exquisite smells.
