The Firestik series of no-ground plane (NGP) antennas is specifically designed for vehicles without a counterpoise or ground plane. Although not limited to these types of vehicles, no-ground antenna systems are designed to work anywhere on anything. This type of antenna is commonly used on RV Campers, Semi's, and Motorcycles. So long as a method for securing the antenna can be discovered, it will function. This antenna system includes the antenna, the mount, and the coax cable. No additional components are required. NGP antennas can only be used with the included components; the coax cable cannot be cut or extended. Changing the length of the coax cable included in this kit could potentially cause damage to your CB's antenna system. It is strongly advised that neither the antenna nor coax be altered with this system. However, a different mounting bracket and stud may be used.
