The damper-controlled lid helps contain odors and bacteria and closes gently, making it suitable for hospital rooms and other quiet places. A foot pedal quietly lifts the lid and enables hands-free trash disposal. Polypropylene is more rigid than polyethylene and is resistant to certain chemicals. Aluminum weighs less than steel and resists corrosion and tarnishing. 2 swivel caster wheels on the back and 2 fixed and lockable caster wheels on the front provide quiet maneuverability for noise-sensitive environments.
