BEARING FOR A FLUID DYNAMIC FAN

Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) fans are high-performance fans that take advantage of oil's impact absorption properties. They're incredibly dependable and produce significantly less noise and heat than ball bearing fans. The bearing surface is lubricated to reduce friction and vibration, lowering overall power usage. This dependable fan technology also considerably extends the fan's lifespan due to its smooth, quieter spins and durable construction.

HOW IT WORKS

High-pressure oil drifts through the grooves of the bearing sleeve as the fan shaft rotates, forming a thin layer of lubrication between the bearing faces. As the rotational speed rises, the dynamic oil pressure rises, and the shaft is lifted from the bearing, resulting in smooth, effortless revolutions. The groves' herringbone form aids in the efficient channeling of lubrication and the prevention of leakage:
