Cardioid mode records sound sources that are directly in front of the microphone, producing rich, full-bodied sound.

OMNIDIRECTIONAL

Sound should be recorded or broadcast from all directions surrounding the microphone.

When you want to make a conference call with multiple participants in the same room, or when you want to conduct a multi-person interview on a podcast, use omnidirectional mode.
