The TL-FC111B-20 is a 100-Mbps media converter with a 100-Mbps RJ-45 port and a 100-Mbps SC fiber port for changing electrical and optical signals
Optical fiber can also be used to send data over long distances for business purposes, like keeping an eye on security in a park or setting up a wireless network.
How Does This Product Work?
The TL-FC111B-20 uses WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) technology to send and receive data over a distance of up to 20 km (12.4 miles) using only one fiber, saving customers half the cost of cable deployment.
The TL-FC111B-20 sends data at 1310 nm and gets data at 1550 nm over an optical fiber.
At the other end, the TL-FC111A-20 works as a pair to receive data at 1310 nm and send data at 1550 nm.

Also, this media converter can be used on its own (without a rack) or with the TP-Link TL-FC1420 rack for auto MDI/MDI-X in the TX port, where the duplex mode is automatically set.
