For high-performance server and networking applications, the BCM5719 PCIe NIC is a 13th-generation 10/100/1000BASE-T and 10/100/1000BASE-X Ethernet LAN controller solution.
Each LAN interface has its own PCI Express function supported by the host interface.
I/O Virtualization IOV features on the Broadcom BCM5719-4P Internal Ethernet 1000 Mbit/s include 17 receive and 16 transmit queues, as well as 17 MSI-X vectors with configurable vector-to-queue association.
The BCM5719 can handle VMWare NetQueue and Microsoft VMQ technologies thanks to these IOV characteristics. The BCM5719 has a large number of hardware characteristics that can be used by the system to accomplish IEEE 1588 or IEEE 802.1AS-based time synchronization. A high-precision clock, timestamp registers for receive/transmit packets, and programmable trigger inputs and watchdog outputs are among the hardware features.
