The Lexmark MS431dn is a monochrome laser printer with a compact design that measures 8.7 inches high x 14.5 inches wide x 14.3 inches deep (222 mm high x 368 mm wide x 363 mm deep). It has a maximum input sheet capacity of 100 sheets and can handle sheet sizes up to 8.5x14 inches.

The printer supports output up to 40 pages per minute and has available Extra High Yield Unison™ toner. It also has automatic two-sided printing as a standard feature and built-in energy-saving modes that help support ratings of EPEAT® Silver and ENERGY STAR®. The Lexmark Cartridge Collection Program (LCCP) and Lexmark Equipment Collection Program (LECP) are also included. The printer can handle media sizes up to legal (216 x 356 mm) and A4 (210 x 297 mm). The printer can print up to 42 pages per minute in black and white (ISO/IEC 24734) and up to 17 pages per minute in black and white duplex (ISO/IEC 24734).
